Arquitetura residencial em Natal/RN com alma e identidade própria.

Projetar uma casa é, antes de tudo, escutar. Neste projeto, a escuta revelou um desejo claro: uma residência de alma colonial, generosa em varandas, honesta nos materiais e viva na relação entre dentro e fora.

Implantada no Condomínio Jardins Amsterdã, em Natal, a Casa Petrópolis ocupa um terreno de topografia desafiadora que, em vez de obstáculo, tornou-se oportunidade. Os desníveis foram incorporados ao partido arquitetônico como elemento compositivo, criando transições naturais entre os ambientes e conferindo ao conjunto uma escala que dialoga com a paisagem ao redor.

A linguagem rústica foi tratada com rigor e sofisticação. Telhados em cerâmica aparente, estruturas de madeira, pedras naturais e acabamentos terrosos compõem uma paleta de materiais que envelhece com dignidade e aprofunda o caráter da casa com o tempo. Não há ornamento gratuito: cada elemento tem função construtiva ou sensorial.

As varandas são o coração da vida social da família. Amplas, sombreadas e integradas ao paisagismo, foram projetadas para que as atividades de convívio — as refeições, as conversas, as tardes de fim de semana — aconteçam com naturalidade e sem fronteiras rígidas entre o interior e o jardim. A ventilação cruzada, favorecida pela implantação e pela disposição estratégica das aberturas, garante conforto ambiental mesmo no calor característico do litoral nordestino.

A iluminação foi concebida em camadas: luz natural durante o dia, direcionada e filtrada pela cobertura; luz artificial à noite, pensada para acentuar texturas, criar profundidade e estender o acolhimento até o último momento do dia.

Mas talvez o que melhor defina esta casa seja o que não está no projeto técnico. Três filhos que acompanharam cada etapa da obra, que correram pelo canteiro, que cresceram vendo a casa ganhar forma. Hoje pedalam, jogam bola, aprenderam a cozinhar em família. A arquitetura cumpriu seu papel mais essencial: criar o cenário para que uma vida boa aconteça.
